Death is sadly not only an emotionally shattering experience, when you do not have the right funeral plan if you have one at all, your family could be left financially shattered following your death. Following your death, your family and friends are going to be faced with innumerable expenses from undertakers, to caterers to florists.

Anyone would want to give their dearly departed loved one the most dignified funeral memorial ceremony possible, and could often in their endeavors land them self in a lot of debt. The last thing you would want is for your family to drown themselves in debt in order to ensure that you receive a decent funeral memorial ceremony. Ensure that your family and friends are not forced into financial hardships, by taking out a funeral plan.

A funeral plan is different from life insurance, in that there are no delays with payment – the money is meant to pay for funeral expenses and so the money will be payed out immediately to the listed beneficiary upon presentation of all necessary documentation. Your family can use this money to settle any debts and provide you with the most dignified funeral memorial service possible.

The funeral plan on offer goes a step further than most other funeral plans, this funeral plan will provide your beneficiary with a monthly income for one year to ensure that your family can afford groceries or any other expense they may incur. This money can help lessen the financial burden while your family adjusts to having one less person bringing home an income.

A funeral plan will give you peace of mind, knowing that your loved ones will not face financial difficulty in order to provide you with a dignified funeral memorial ceremony, and that your family does not go hungry in the months following your death.

Funeral costs are increasing everyday and seem to be a lot more expensive than they were just a few years ago. Funerals can cost thousands of Rands and leave a bereaved family with no money to survive during a time of grief. When someone that is close to you dies unexpectedly you might be left with the burden of covering a costly funeral. Because this is so unexpected many people do not have the time to come up with large sums of money to pay for burial, tomb-stones or transport costs for their loved one.

That is the reason why it is so important to get a funeral plan early on in life. It becomes some sort of a net for your family to fall back on if something terrible had to happen to you. Funeral plans have become competitive and nowadays the cost of the cover in itself is cheap and affordable.

Many families will appreciate the financial assistance during a time where grieving should take precedence over coming up with cash to assist the family.

It is easy to apply for and get funeral cover in a short space of time. Many people can be covered immediately for accidental death and their families will be the beneficiaries as designated by the policy holder.

Ensuring that you are covered in case of death whether is accidental or not ensures that you will be always one hundred at ease knowing that your family is protected and that they can afford to provide you with a decent funeral if that time had to come.

Sometimes people do not want to talk about such things but it is very important that you take the first step into ensuring that your family is taken care off in case something happens there are so many ways in which you can get your hands on a funeral plan though in my opinion getting a broker to ensure that you receive the very best one for you is more important than anything else.

Brokers know how these insurances work and they can advice you on the best funeral plan for you and your family members like your spouse, mother father etc. They can provide you with vital information that will ensure that you choose the one that best suits your pocket and your lifestyle.

Funeral plans have a huge range in which you can get them plus they can cover so many ways of death.

You might want to get a funeral plan online and I think that this will be great start for anyone. Your age in this matter does not matter. If you have a steady income and know that you can afford a funeral plan then you should by all means go ahead and get one that you can be confident off and have the peace of mind that you need for you and your family.

At some point in one’s life, everyone is forced to be a part of funeral planning. Commonly this is a difficult situation. There are always questions which dwell in an individual’s minds when they are planning for someone’s funeral or planning cremations. These questions range from the necessity of organizing a memorial service to knowing the actual costs involved in funerals or cremations. In fact the task can seem quite daunting even when you are prearranging funerals or cremations. This is especially the case if someone does not know exactly how funeral planning and cremations work. In such cases, people should always look for help.

There are a lot of businesses which can provide expert guidance for funeral planning. Usually their services include planning funerals or memorial services as well as cremations. This help also includes guidance to the grieving individuals as they grieve the demise of their dear one. The details of a death can often determine the burial method. When death is sudden family members tend to compromise either at the financial end or at the other parameters of funeral planning. In cases where someone is ill and the family knows they are in their last stage of lives more care is usually taken.

Because of the nature of the situation compromise should not be an issue. During the process of funeral planning it is important to carryout the wishes of the deceased. Family members should work together to accomplish this. Additionally payment may cause issues. Try to find a flexible payment plan so that no one will feel as if greed was a determining factor in the burial arrangements. One way to help counteract both of these issues is to preplan your own funeral.

While no death is an ideal situation advance preparation can make the circumstances easier to cope with. Additionally having the appropriate guidance and consultation makes funeral planning easier as well. Apart from the normal funeral customs, families will need to make other choices. This includes choosing items like burial containers, caskets, or in the case of cremations an urn. If you take funeral planning upon your self fewer of these decisions are left to your distressed family members when you pass.

For this reason, planning for one’s own funeral or cremation is an increasing trend. There are a lot of individuals who consider this an integral part of planning for the future. In such cases, these individuals meet with the funeral planning experts and finalize their choices on burial sites or their alternatives. These decisions include making choices between casket burials or cremations and the type of memorial service they will have as well.

If you feel you are ready to make funeral plans for yourself or if you are forced to make funeral plans for a loved on other help is available as well. Many websites can offer excellent tips for planning funerals and cremations. They offer knowledge about prices and legalities. This information can help ensure no aspect of the funeral plan is incorrect.

With typical marketing hyperbole, Mikel Jollett’s article, “The Miracle of Ice,” about a new surgical technique involving induced hypothermia, is summed, presumably by the editor, with “the only catch: it kills you before it saves you.”This could be applied to most of the things in our lives that nearly ‘kill’ us; the slings and arrows of fortune we are all heir to. They either kill us, or we have a new life. But I digress.

Yes, there is a surgeon having great success using induced-hypothermia when operating on the brains of stroke victims. This is the story of a new-OLD procedure that involves cooling the body, but this is for hours, not minutes; and a surgeon gutsy enough to use his common sense and go with something that works. I’m not mentioning his name for a reason. He’s the SUNG hero, but there’s an UNsung hero in this story.

20 years ago, induced hypothermia was used only as a last resort, when there was nothing to lose, like surgery on a stopped heart. The body would be chilled by a combination of techniques, to 18 degrees C (64 F); scary, as there are potentially lethal side-effects such as frostbite, shock, pneumonia, and death.

How did we discover the use of this procedure? It was thanks to Raul Busto, a research assistant at the University of Miami, way back in 1987.

The wonder of this story is that Jollett found this piece of information when researching the article, and thought to include it.

Raul didn’t get to write an article in the prestigious JAMA about his discovery. He didn’t get invited to address the national convention of brain surgeons. He didn’t get promoted to head of the department or have a chair named for him at a medical center. I don’t know the facts, but he probably didn’t even get a raise or bonus.

Busto, observant guy that he was, simply noticed that even when blood flow was cut off to a section of the brain in certain rats, they didn’t have a stroke, and this in rats whose body temps were only a few degrees below normal.

Raul then had the presence of mind to connect the dots on what he observed. The wonder is that his presumably small voice was heard.

There are people who lack the credentials, by choice, by chance or by lack of opportunity, who are making tremendous contributions to our lives all the time. The diagnosis by the grandmother down the street, the perceptive comment of the nail technician, a caring neighbor or teacher who notices something, the mechanic tinkering in his garage or the nascent genius in the computer or medical lab.

Examples? I hear many from clients.

Bill and Mary, with combined IQs of 300, were told by their son’s teacher that he needed glasses. When he got them, the child exclaimed, “There are leaves on trees! Look, I can see trash in people’s yard.”

Susan got her son into drug rehab just in time because her colleague at work met the teenager and suggested to Susan that those red eyes and that runny nose weren’t “allergies.”

Liquid paper was invented by some secretary who had a brain and was able to think outside the box.

The glue on post-it notes was a lab failure for a permanent glue, but the researcher had common sense, and thought a temporary bond might have an application. (Could we live without our post-it notes?)

Martha found out her baby had a tumor because when her mother was changing the baby’s diapers, she noticed what the younger mother couldn’t differentiate.

And my client in Venezuela gave me the key to another client I couldn’t fathom. “They’re mountain people,” she said. “You know.” I did not. But in Venezuela one knows the difference between those who live in the mountains, those who live in the plains, and those who live by the sea.

It’s a shame that we have a system set up where only the PhDs and MDs get the recognition – and are granted the veracity.

I coach and consult in emotional intelligence (which includes common sense), and I often find in offices the quiet suggestions of the smaller players have been ignored and are quite valuable. Why should a lawyer listen to his secretary when she says they’re getting milked by their web designer? No credentials. Why should the CEO listen to the accounting clerk who predicts the trend toward a product they could easily produce? Not his field. Why should the ‘suits’ in Miami listen to a coach who says that cruise passengers would attend lectures on self-help, astrology or engineering? Because everyone in Miami “knows” that all ALL cruise passengers want is to drink and gamble .. except for the coach who cruises a lot and listens to the actual guests – - wondering about the ships engines, the stars they see in the romantic night sky over the ocean, and, yes, Virginia they do not leave their problems at home when they cruise, they come right along with them, sometimes in person, sometimes in their thoughts and hearts.

The first thing I did when I was sent to a troubled apartment complex, back in my property management days, was to interview the people who actually worked on the property daily, so were forced to deal in real life with the problems at hand. The leasing agent, the maintenance man, even the mailman could tell me the simple truth, from their emotional intelligence, and observations, that told me what the problems AND THE SOLUTIONS were. They made me look good.

I had the credentials, but thank you Mildred Mannigan for greeting me at the door of Concord Square Apartments with, “If they would simply ____, this apt. complex would be full tomorrow. Will you please TELL someone.” If you’re the ‘they’ — listen.

All sing the unsung hero. Wherever you are, Raul Busto, thank you.

Thank you for all the lives that will be saved because of you. And thanks to the “suit” that listened to Raul when he told what he knew.

Now go out and apply this!

What are Funeral Plans?

Funeral plans are basically insurances that cover payment for your funeral cost. So, if you had to pass on today you would know that your entire cost of the type of funeral that you would want was covered. This way you can ensure that you family does not go through any financial strain if you had to pass on. You can also cover other members of your family if you would like so that you would not have to worry about taking out separate plans and you can cover everything under one payment without the need to be concerned about making more payments whihc would end up costing you more especially through debit orders.

When things go wrong and your family is strapped for cash, you will at least know that one cost is covered. Sometimes funeral plan compaines pay out more than the actual cost of a funeral and your family is free to do with the moeny as they please. They can pay off debts, pay school fees or re-invest the money for the future. At the end of it all, it really depends on how quickly you think and how much you are willing to put into your funeral plans. I place emphasis on it beause I have been through a tough time and know what it is like and how badly it can effect the entire family.

Funerals are the hardest things to plan for. Especially if it is your own. You will find that there are so many differnet things for you to consider even though you will not even be there. The idea behind a funeral plan is to ensure that you can have a proper burial or cremation without having your family members worry about money. It is not something that everyone wants to consider and sometimes it is difficult to get the courage to start looking for a funeral plan. There are benefits to these plans that can help you in life and funeral plans can be very affodable and cost effective.

The amounts that funeral plans cover are enough to get you or a family member through the funreal itself. They are designed to be functional for that time and will cover everything from the casket to other important little things. In considering taking your funeral plan you should be able to let people know what you would liuke in the sad event that you do pass on.

Giving your family thhat financial burden is unfair and most people will ensure that their funeral plans are up to date and are the best that they can afford. If you consider the high volumes of people in accidents everyday and if you are one of those people who travel daily you will understand why a funeral plan is of so much of impotrance.

When you are looking for your funeral plan, look for one that copvers many benefits. You may even want to cover other members of your family and this can usually be done at a small cost. There are several ways that you can begin your search for funeral plans starting with finding a broker ort you could search online and you should come up with something rather interesting. Always ensure that you can trust the source and make direct contact with the person that is selling you the plan.

As a funeral director for nearly three decades I have assisted thousands of families in planning funerals for loved ones during their time of need. I have also assisted countless families through the years in preplanning funeral services. It has been my experience that those families who preplanned seemed far less stressed when a death occurs than those who did not.

When you think about it, when is pre-planning for anything inevitable a bad idea? The same theory applies to funeral planning in my opinion. Unfortunately, many people put off planning for this final event in their lives, choosing by default to let others handle these details for them when that time comes. More times than not, those forced to complete these final planning arrangements for others are doing so on one the worst days of their life.

Unlike at-need funeral planning, pre-need funeral planning allows an opportunity to make important decisions in a much less stressful environment. Pre-planning funeral services can also lead to lower funeral costs as emotional overspending is generally not a factor.

Today most funeral homes offer multiple options for those desiring to meet with a funeral director to make pre-plans for themselves or other loved ones. It is no longer necessary in most areas to visit a firm to prearrange services. Many firms will now come to your residence if desired to make these most important plans. Many families have commented to me through the years about how much less stressful it was to make these plans away from the funeral home. I learned long ago that many people’s reluctance to do advance planning was actually based on coming to the funeral home for fear of awakening sad and depressing memories of loved ones past funerals held at the facility.

Pre-planning funeral services also offers other opportunities that will lower stress when the death occurs. Many facilities offer “price freeze” and discount offerings on merchandise and services for those who choose to make formal pre-need arrangements.
Much misinformation regarding this particular aspect of pre-planning is being written by those claiming to be experts, usually touting only one particular “funeral methodology” that limits a person’s choices. This results in only adding to a family’s funeral planning stress in my opinion. Unfortunately and sadly, many fall prey to this novice and shortsighted advice, which ultimately only harms those who need these savings benefits the most as funeral costs continue to rise.

I can honestly say that in my nearly thirty years of funeral service experience, I have never had a family tell me they were sorry they preplanned or for that matter pre-funded a funeral or cremation. On the other hand, I have had many families tell me that they wish they had.

As a funeral director I would urge anyone to consider pre-need funeral planning. Don’t just take my advice, talk with friends and family you trust who have done this. I’m convinced when you do, they will give you the same advice I have. This is the best way to guarantee yourself and your family a truly less stressful funeral.
