I am sure you must have come across the saying, that whatever goes up must come down. While that may be true for an air filled balloon and the like, it does not apply to things that really matter. And the most important of these things is the price of goods and services in today’s world. Like yesteryear, the prices of goods and services will continue to raise, some at a faster pace than others. We need to find ways in which we can and will be able to afford the things we want and need. And we need to ensure that there shall not be any financial strain on our families when we are not around to provide any monetary assistance. We need to plan for the future and for the times when funds may be needed the most. You need to invest in a funeral plan and a life insurance cover policy.

Like everything that has a religious and or cultural statement attached to it, so does a funeral. And preparing for and hosting any religious function is costly in today’s world. A funeral is no exception. In fact for the average person, paying for and financing a funeral is a huge responsibility and a strain. This is most probably because of the high prices of goods and services associated with a funeral. But this need not be the case. You could prevent your family from going through the stress and hardship of planning and executing your funeral by investing in a funeral plan.

Very simply put, a funeral plan is a contract between the policy holder and the service provider, which will be the insurance company, whereby the insurance company agrees to pay to the policy holder’s nominated beneficiary an amount agreed upon at the time of the policy holder’s death. The amount so paid out is generally to assist in the paying for funeral and related expenses. Hence the name of the policy, funeral plan.

The amount paid out can be used by the family and loves ones in paying for catering, hire of a hall for the funeral and or marquees and chairs, flowers, the services of an undertaker and any other expense that may arise. So they will not have to be burdened with the stress and worry about seeking out and obtaining finance to pay for your funeral. They can and will be able to mourn your death like a bereaved family should.

And the cost of the funeral plan? Surprisingly it is very affordable. In fact every employed individual can afford one. Even pensioners and any person who has some sort of income will be able to afford a funeral plan. Check with your agent or browse the net for the most affordable rates. A further bonus in subscribing to a funeral plan is that for the same amount of premium, you will be able to include your spouse and minor children in the policy. So for one payment, your entire family can be covered.

Why wait for an event to occur. Invest in a funeral plan today.

Have you ever stopped to think what your family and loved ones would go through in the event of your death? More especially how they would manage financially in paying for your funeral. Or how you would cope financially if a member of your family had to pass on? With a funeral plan your family or you would be able to mourn the death properly without any worries about the cost involved in arranging the funeral.

A funeral plan is basically an insurance policy that pays the nominated beneficiaries or the policy holder an agreed amount in cash should the policy holder, or any person covered under the policy, pass on. The amount so paid out is generally used to cover the cost of the funeral. However, nothing stops the beneficiaries from using the pay out in any other way. The amount to be paid is determined at the time that the funeral plan is entered into between the policy holder and the insurance company. The amount may be reviewed from time to time and increased at the request of the policy holder and discretion of the insurance company.

Most funeral plans will offer to the beneficiary’s incentives for using preferred service providers, such as funeral homes, undertakers, caterers and florists. The insurance company may further offer a range of services from counselling to assisting in funeral arrangements. Ask your agent for a thorough list of the services and benefits that the insurance company will provide as a part of the funeral plan.

A funeral plan may either offer to the beneficiary a hundred per cent pay out, or part pay out and part service. For example, the policy may provide for the supply of a traditional requirement such as an ox as part of the benefits, and the balance in cash. This obviously is dependent on the type of funeral plan you take and the benefits offered by the insuring company. So it is advisable to consult the company and request full details of the benefits.

As stated above, a funeral plan will not only cover the policy holder, but will cover his or her spouse and minor children (the number of children to be covered will be dependent on the type of cover the policy holder takes). The policy holder may choose to further included members of his or her extended family, such as parents and or siblings. This may be done for an additional amount in premiums. However, one should note that the funeral plan may offer a different or lesser benefit for minor children and extended family members.

Looking at the benefits that a funeral plan will offer to the policy holder, one would imagine that the premiums will be high. But on the contrary, it is surprisingly low. Every employed person should and can afford to have a funeral plan. It is advisable to take a funeral plan policy from the insurance company that you may have other policies with as you would be in a position to negotiate premiums.

You can afford your funeral. Funeral plans are the answer.

The decision you had made in intending to get a funeral plan or funeral policy could be perhaps one of the most important and significant decisions you had made. It not only shows your concern for the certain but unpredicted event of death, but it further demonstrates you concern over matters of a financial nature. However, before signing up and contracting a funeral plan, you should understand its nature and more importantly, any restrictions therein. The following is a summary of the aforementioned.

Funeral plans are no different to other insurance policies in that they are there to cover either an expected but uncertain event or an event that is unpredictable. Like all insurance policies, a funeral plan has certain restrictions and limitations.

As expected, a funeral plan only matures or is paid out at the time of the death of the policy holder or any other person covered therein. It is only then limited to those persons. It is further only limited to the total amount contracted to between the policy holder and the insurance company. So it is important to make sure that the amount of pay out shall be sufficient to cover all related costs in the event of a funeral of one or more of the persons covered by the funeral plan.

Like any life insurance exclusion or limitation, a funeral plan may not pay out the benefits contracted to should the death of the person covered therein is a result of suicide. However, taking into account the times we live in and the stress and other factors affecting daily lives, insurance companies have opted to cover and pay out on deaths even if through suicide. However the limitation in most instances is that if the death through suicide occurs within the first two years of the policy’s life, then the insurance company will not pay out.

Other exclusions may be the refusal of an insurance company to pay out if death resulted through an act of war of as a result of a hazardous and life threatening occupation of hobby. In such instances the risk is just too high for the insurance company to carry. However, if the person is employed in a dangerous job or partakes in hazardous activities, the insurance company may agree to lift the limitation and cover the person, but at a much greater premium. Consult your insurance agent fully on this matter.

Finally, and briefly, there will be limitations on to whom the proceeds of the funeral plan will be paid out to. Only nominated beneficiaries will be paid out by the company. No other person will have access to the funds, and neither will they be in a position to claim therefrom.

There are no limitations on what the proceeds of a funeral plan could be used for. It is up to the beneficiaries to use the funds for the funeral of the deceased covered by the policy, or not.

Please do not just accept any insurance policy on face value. Understand them and always read the fine print. It will be worth your while.

This is not a very easy topic to talk about or even think about. We all try our best not to think about this but after all this is reality and will happen whether we like it or not.

This simply eases the burden for the family and this will ensure that you have the funeral done your way.

Funeral plans cater for many things such as coffin, arrangement, burial services and so on. This is one of the main points in taking a funeral plan. You need to ensure that by taking that particular plan you will be able to do what you really want to. If you are not free and able to do what you want then you should try another service provider. You need to also consider the prices of the various packages. This payment allows the grieving family and loved ones to pay for the enormous expenses related to having a funeral. The amount insured for is most often paid out to the nominated beneficiary within forty eight hours of a claim being received by the insurance company.

// ]]>

Upon your death, your family and loved ones will have enough to worry about without the additional worry about financing your funeral. If you were to die toady, without having a funeral plan or funeral policy in place, would your family be in a position to pay for your funeral? Unless you have a few thousand rand in your accounts and at home, the answer will be most likely no.

Death is something that is certain to happen; however when it would happen is anyone’s guess. If you did know when you are going to die, you would be better equipped to plan for and finance your funeral. But the truth is, you don’t. So you will require assistance for planning and financing your funeral. This is where having a funeral plan is invaluable.

Funerals are a costly affair. Some of the costs that will have to be catered for are the casket, hearse hire, cemetery and burial costs, flowers, catering costs, venue hire. Your funeral plan policy will help your family pay for these items.

However, it is not a requirement that all the proceeds paid out from a funeral plan be required to be used towards the costs incurred in the funeral. The beneficiaries can set aside part of the money for further expenses such as after funeral ceremonies and or providing finance for the day to day living of the bereaved family. The beneficiaries, in short, can use the monetary pay out from the funeral plan in any way they see fit.

A funeral plan or funeral policy not only covers the policy holder, but can cover the policy holder’s family and loved ones. It can further cover extended family members of the policy holder. So whoever passes on in the family, and is covered by the funeral plan, the insurance company shall pay-out to the beneficiary nominated. Thus ensuring that expenses are not a burden but can be paid for.

Let your family grieve your loss. Let them not stress about the cost of providing you with a dignified funeral. Consider and subscribe to a funeral plan.

So you have seen the advertisements on national television. You have encountered promoters at malls. You have seen ads in the newspapers. Heard people talk about them. You know it exists, but do you know what a funeral plan or policy is? Let us look briefly at funeral plans and what it would mean to you, your family and loves ones.

With a little pre-planning and assistance of your funeral plans, you can. Why should you consider and invest in funeral plans? You may further ask. Let us take a brief look at the cost involved in having or executing a funeral.

Some of the costs involved in having a funeral are: mortuary costs, undertaker costs, hearse hire, grave preparation or crematorium costs, chair and marquee hire, food and catering, flowers and traditional requirements such as the slaughter of an ox. Then there is the costs that will be incurred in having the after death ceremonies, be it the next day, three days later or as your religion or culture requires. You and you loved ones want only the best of the aforementioned. But without having funeral plans in place, could you or your family afford it?

Having a funeral plan not on covers you in the event of death, but may and can cover your immediate family such as spouse and dependent children. And for a little extra premium, may include extended family members. A funeral plan may also cover spouse’s married traditionally only as well as long term partners. You choose who you would want included in your funeral plan policy.

Surprisingly, a funeral plan is very affordable and would not put a dent on your budget or finances. Opt for the very best funeral plan. Your advisor or a friendly consultant at the insurance company would assist you in choosing a funeral plan that would best suite you and your family’s needs.

The funeral plan policy will pay out to the policy holder of a beneficiary, the total amount insured for, to cover the costs of the funeral. The funds would be readily available to you and your family to assist in the planning of the funeral. So having a dignified and wanted send-off would be possible and affordable. Some funeral plans may go further in providing you and your family with the requirements and services required for a funeral, such as a casket, funeral home services and even groceries for catering. Still, other insurance companies may give you and your family a choice of receiving the lump sum of accepting their services of planning and executing the funeral. Again, the choice is yours to make.

In short, you can afford that funeral for you and your loved ones. Having a funeral plan will ensure that you do. Do not hesitate; apply for your funeral plan today. You would be relieved and glad you did.

Funeral Plans are essential and many people do not take a policy and at the end they suffer. When a family member dies the situation at the home of the deceased is not pleasant at all. Everyone is heartbroken and hurt. Now imagine the family not having the capital to pay for the deceased funeral. This is another task that many people find annoying and do not think about. Well if you think carefully and plan ahead then all of the above problems can be addressed respectively without and hassle.

Funeral plans work the same way as many other insurance policies. So if you have taken an insurance policy before then you will know exactly what I mean but if you haven’t then not to worry because I will give you a brief idea of how it works. Firstly you will be paying a monthly amount which will be set by the service provider. Of course this amount will depend highly on the type of cover that you will be taking. At the end when the person that has taken the policy dies, then the plan will take effect and pay for all funeral arrangements. Certain service providers will also give you the freedom to choose the place of burial and many other options.

One misconception of funeral plans is that all service providers offer the same cover and the same price. You must remember that competition is high and all service providers will want you to take a policy from them. Coming back to my point, service providers are all independent. That means they all offer different packages at different prices. Therefore you should always consider service providers as different and do not assume that they are the same.

Before taking a funeral plan you must ensure that you do research and find out about these plans as much as possible to avoid any confusing. Also you need to know what you are paying for and how you money is being utilised. There are also various blogs on the internet this will assist you because these blogs normally do a comparison on certain companies as opposed to the others. You should also make it your duty to read and understand the terms and conditions of your service provider this will ensure that no misunderstandings are encountered. Lastly no one can predict the future so it’s best you take a policy and be safe rather than sorry.

Death. No one wants to think about it. But we all got to. Whether its about ours or a loved ones, we have to at some stage think about it.

Death is not something that people like to converse or think about, mostly because the thought of losing a loved one is sad and painful. But just as we live, so shall we die. So we should not fear or hate it, but plan for its arrival by using a funeral plan.

Both you and I would like to be sent off in a dignified and gracious manner. We would also want those close to us to be sent off in the same way. But considering the cost of having a funeral in this day and age, it’s scary.

A casket could cost you thousands. Catering could be the same. Then there is the costs of equipment hire, marquee and chairs, the cemetery costs, flowers, and the list goes on.

Frightening isn’t it?

Yet it should not be. How? you may ask. The answer, simple planning and having a Funeral Plan or Cover. So what is a Funeral Plan or Cover…..

It is a Plan or Cover that covers the costs of a funeral, from hearse hire, mortuary costs, right down to flowers and transport for the mourners. A Funeral Plan goes further. It may cover even the costs of traditional requirements such as a cow.

Most Funeral Plans offer to organise, plan or assist with the planning and execution of the funeral. They cover the cost of the entire funeral, leaving the bereaved family to mourn the loss of the loved one in dignity and without burden. Other Funeral Plans offer cash back to the policy holder, cash in the bank to cover the cost of the funeral. The amount spent on the funeral or received obviously dependant on the type of Funeral Cover taken and the amount of premiums paid.

Without a Funeral Plan, the mourners are placed with an extra burden in the form of financial stress to ensure the deceased have a dignified and proper funeral. A Funeral Plan lessons the burden of the bereaved family. It takes care of the financial aspects and costs of a funeral.

For an opted extra, a Funeral Plan could go further. It could provide the family with an income for a fixed amount of months to ensure and help the family get back on their feet, especially at the passing away of the breadwinner. The amount could assist in rental, groceries, everyday expenses.

The good news is that Funeral Plans are non-expensive. Surprisingly, it is affordable to all. And it not only covers the Funeral Plan policy holder, but his / her spouse or partner, children and, conditionally, extended family.

Dignified and proper send-off is not beyond the reach of you or your loved ones. A Funeral Plan will ensure you of this.

Don’t place a burden of financial concern on you or your family at the time when it’s not needed. Get a FUNERAL PLAN today.
